Experience

Early pattern recognition was what led the first humans to learn self preservation, preventive defense and what is hidden plain sight. It seems probable to me that it helped primitive people to design or adjust ways to build some items which caused our curiosity to peak, by seeing patterns in the stars as this was their main canvas. This would also be the reason for their belief in sky gods for something different or new, as the best design of things is in it's ability to be modified for different uses. Instead of believing in aliens, look up at the stars with out aids and see how many different designs you can make from all those stars and the empty spaces between them You are only limited by your life experience and your imagination. Doesn't this make you realize how, from so little mankind has accomplished so much. On our own and not ancient aliens. It is time for society to have belief in itself and realize that we are a good design that through working all the accumulated parts of the whole working together as one civil civilization we can be something great only held back by forgetting that we are all one wonderful machine held back by our insecurity and lack of faith in all are parts.
